RECRUITMENT PHASE:
A typical recruitment phase is four weeks, however it can be longer if special circumstances arise. Once you have posted your application on the forums, you will be contacted as soon as possible in game (2-3 days typically). During this recruitment phase, you are encouraged to get to know the members as we will also get to know you (via guild chat, grouping, events, etc.). It is expected that your activity level is such that a good number of guild members will know who you are. After four weeks, you will either be promoted or will be notified that full membership will not be granted and why.
Applicants who have been inactive for more than 30 days, without any notification to an officer, may be removed from the guild. If you are going to be inactive for whatever reason, please let an officer know.
RESTRICTIONS:
The following restrictions are placed on recruits:
- No guild tag will be displayed
- Guild bank access is restricted (GB 1-4)
- Recruits start with 0 points and accrue them as normal under the GoD points policy.
- No access to faction merchant benefits due to guild level.
Upon promotion to "Knight":
- Guild tag will be displayed
- Guild bank access is changed to greater access of banks 1, 2, & 3 and NBG access to bank 4 via an officer.
- Your real life family and friends are now eligible to ignore the current recruitment restrictions to come in as a Guardian.
- Full access to guild level benefits from faction merchants.
Yellow flagged recruits "Guardians"
Recruits who come in as a yellow flagged class follow a promotion path like regular Knight members with one difference. These individuals will be restricted when it comes to raiding with GoD. When it comes to attending raids, yellow flagged individuals will be placed at the end of the raid selection list and in turn may not make as many raids as other members of the guild. To help track this status the guild member will be assigned the Guardian rank instead of the Knight rank. Again the ONLY difference between a person with the Guardian rank and a person with the Knight rank is the raid limitations. In ALL other ways these individuals are just like everyone else.
It is crucial that a recruit who chooses to come in as a yellow flagged class understands this restriction and is willing to accept it. This restriction will be made clear to you by the officer who talks to you about your application.
